A phone detox for faith-filled homemakers ready to live fully present.
The 40 Day Phone Detox is for women who are tired of the noise from their phones —the distraction, the overwhelm, the overstimulation — and ready to live more present, more prayerful, and more peaceful.
You can live differently.
It begins with renewing your mind and detoxing your phone.

Do you feel like your phone is controlling your life?
You’ve told yourself you need to get better at controlling your phone. You put your phone down only to find it back in your hands minutes later. You’ve tried to set time limits. You’ve researched the dumb phones and the devices but haven’t pulled the trigger — because some part of you is afraid of being lonely.
You wonder — is it actually possible to get a handle on this? You are not a stranger to the guilt and shame that accompany this struggle. You know there is a beautiful life in front of you that you are missing out on. You know it needs to change, but you don’t know where to begin.
You want to live fully present, but you’re always distracted.
You want to be productive in your home, but you find yourself with little energy, neglecting your duties.
You want to love your family well, to give them your best self, but you know they are getting your left overs.
You want to be gentle and calm, but you’re overstimulated and quick- tempered.
You want your mind to experience stillness, to be a place of an interior peace, but it is anxious and noisy inside.
It doesn’t have to stay this way.
The 40-Day Phone Detox is a guided, cohort-based experience, helping homemakers break free from their phones — step by step, alongside other women doing the same hard, holy work.

Hi, I’m Allison.
I created this because I was once that same woman — stuck and struggling with my phone. I remember the first day of my own detox: standing in a clean kitchen with empty hands, no idea what to do with myself. That afternoon I sat on the floor and watched my kids dance and laugh, fully present for the first time in longer than I want to admit. I cried — for how beautiful they were, and for all the moments like it I'd missed while my brain was somewhere else.
40 days quickly turned into 90, which turned into a new way of life. My prayer life came back. My mind grew capable of stillness again. I rediscovered order in my life, productivity in my home and a deeper experience of gratitude and joy.
When I became a mom, I felt called to leave my teaching career behind. What surprised me was what came next — after my own detox, I started hearing the call to come back to teaching. Just in a new, unexpected form: teaching women, virtually, how to break free from their phones.

What women are saying…
"Within the first 24 hours of the phone detox, I had learnt more about myself than I could have imagined, connected with my children more than I had in the last 2.5 years, started to reconnect with my husband on a deeper level, and began to find peace in the silence. I feel so blessed to have been given this realization 2.5 years into motherhood and 5 years into marriage — I do feel like I missed out on so many moments with my children and husband but cannot wait for a lifetime of fully present moments of joy, struggle, and connection with my family."
— Gabriella H.
"The phone detox was so helpful and life changing in many ways. My phone is now more of a tool than a distraction, and I have been reading more and engaging in hobbies more. I'm so grateful for Allison leading the phone detox!"
— Nuala W.
"If you want to reorient your focus on your vocation and family and gain freedom from screens, this is definitely the program! It helped make changes that I knew had to happen with the support of the group. Allison is a great teacher and speaks from her own experience in a kind and honest way. When you see the joy and freedom she has, you want it. Highly recommend!"
— Theresa C.
"This is the best phone detox guidelines I've ever come across. I learned a lot and I am so much further than ever before!!! It helps a lot."
— Cecilia T.
"Everyone should do a smart phone detox! I am so much more awake to the present moment, myself, and others around me. I experience God more and life is more beautiful and full. It was helpful and motivating to have an idea of what to expect from Allison who had already been through the journey. Her support and education were valuable throughout the process, as well as knowing others were doing it, too. I am so grateful Allison made the invite to do a smart phone detox, and my life will be forever changed by it!"

This isn't a willpower problem. These apps were expertly engineered to keep you coming back — that's not weakness, that's by design. The only way out is an actual detox: a real reset for your brain. You don't need to figure that out on your own, and you don't need to do it alone — that's exactly what this program gives you.
-
No — Christian women of all denominations are warmly welcome! This community comes from my heart, which came to know Jesus through both Protestantism and Catholicism. I am a passionate follower of Jesus and ardently Catholic, so there will be aspects of Catholicism woven throughout — but this detox is for any faith-filled woman ready to reclaim her presence and peace.
-
Yes — I see the irony 😊. This app will help you live your life, not keep you from it. You'll use your phone intentionally, at defined times, for a defined purpose — which is an important skill you will be building.

You're completely free to decide what comes next — keep detoxing, live a new and improved rhythm with technology or return to how things were before. Either way, we're here to support you, and you'll be set up with new rhythms to carry forward. Most women choose to stay: you'll have a lifetime home in The Every Morning Homemaking Community, where the detox material lives, alongside daily support, prayer, and future detox cohorts aligned with Advent and Lent.

Not at all — all women are welcome. It's beautiful to bring women from a variety of backgrounds and seasons of life together to walk this in solidarity. Whether you're married or single, a stay-at-home mom or working, a mother or not yet — you belong here. I teach from my own lived experience as a stay-at-home mother and homemaker, but I welcome yours too, and I hope we learn from each other along the way.
-
Yes! This detox isn't about eliminating your phone and going off the grid completely — it's about breaking its grip on you, learning balance, and using it with intention instead of compulsion. We'll help you build boundaries around work use too, so your phone becomes a tool again, not something pulling you away from your family and your peace.
-
Not quite — it's cohort-based, meaning everyone moves through the detox together on the same dates, which is part of what makes it powerful. That said, there's built-in flexibility: content releases weekly, there's no requirement to complete it daily, and you'll have an extra two weeks after the detox ends to finish anything you missed. Go day by day or in bigger chunks — whatever fits your life.
Ready to Begin?
A beautiful, silent life in this high-tech world is possible. And it starts with renewing your mind.
You don't have to figure this out alone, and you don't have to wait for the "perfect" time. Prep Week starts September 21 — that's your moment to begin. I'd love to walk through these 40 days with you.
